Tourism Campaign — Great Place Scheme, Torbay Culture

Part of the Great Place Scheme delivered by Torbay Culture and partners, this project aimed to bring new cultural visitors to the area by developing fresh itineraries, guides, experiences and trails.
Early research showed that authentic English Riviera cultural experiences are built on four pillars: Speed Up, Slow Down, Well Read, and Artisans & Makers.
Writers on the Riviera launched in 2019, celebrating Agatha Christie and other literary figures connected to the Bay, with a printed trail, social videos and podcasts. Speed Up and Slow Down followed in 2020 — a printed and digital guide plus a web app, encouraging visitors to “dive into adrenalin-fuelled activities, or kick back, switch off and relax” across the Bay’s coasteering, wild swimming, history and famously revitalising sea air.
